Stress is a natural response in your body that reacts when something is perceived as life threatening. Your adrenals can respond by secreting hormones, such as cortisol and epinephrine.
An access of these hormones signal the body to shut down systems that are not a priority in the immediacy of the moment, including digestion, elimination, growth , repair and reproduction…
The antidote to stress is relaxation. To relax deeply is different than sleep. Relaxation is a state in which there is no movement, no effort and the brain is quiet.
